Postgres Overview

Every project includes ImpulseDB Postgres — standard PostgreSQL with pgvector and PostGIS available, automated backups, and connection pooling. Shared on entry plans, dedicated from Launch up.

• Standard wire protocol — any Postgres driver, ORM, or GUI connects with DATABASE_URL.
• Extensions — enable supported extensions per database from My Impulse or the Postgres API.
• Backups — automated dailies with restore; on-demand snapshots before risky changes.
• Pooling — PgBouncer-style pooling for serverless and high-connection workloads.
• Replicas & diagnostics — read replicas and query diagnostics on dedicated plans, exposed through the API.
